My career as a wedding and event planner began when I graduated from the Wedding Planning Institute of Canada with certificates in both event management and wedding planning.
From then on, I worked at various events, including corporate, charitable, public, gala, social, golf, and, of course, weddings. But my ultimate objective was always to start my own company, so when the time was perfect, I did just that!
Every event that I organize and prepare is a privilege for me. I enjoy getting to know my customers so that I may partake in their big day or assist them in planning a significant event. Get to know the mother-daughter partnership behind HW Inc.
Since I was a little child, I have always had an entrepreneurial mentality. My parents will always be astounded by the number of people who came to the floral craft fair I held in their garage, which I dubbed “Bringing the Country to the City.” After graduating from the University of Western Ontario, I started working as a visual merchandiser for the corporate offices of a few well-known Canadian women’s fashion retailers. However, after getting married to Mike, I realized my true passion was starting a business specializing in wedding and special event décor. Part-time Hollywood Weddings Inc. was founded in 1997, and it gradually expanded.
After Mike passed away in 2015, I decided to keep the business going. Our youngest daughter Steffi created the flower brand SA, swiftly gaining widespread recognition.
When I’m not planning weddings or events, you can find me enjoying our two rescue Shar Peis, cooking, binge-watching a fantastic Netflix series, thrifting, daydreaming about my next home in Arizona, or creating my upcoming eBay shop.
I was raised surrounded by the wedding and special events world. I assumed a more critical position with Hollywood Weddings while I was young, but as I became older, I desired to create a separate division of the family firm. I wanted something that would satisfy my passions for design and plants and flowers. A job in floral design seemed to be my genuine calling and one that I would genuinely enjoy. I graduated with my complete accreditation from the Canadian Institute of Floral Design in 2015 when I started working for myself under the name Stephanie Anastasia. Over the past three years, my business has gradually begun to grow. I take pleasure in developing close relationships with each of my clients. I aim to provide a floral palette that accurately captures each client’s unique personality. I firmly think that education serves as the foundation for my design work. I make it a point to regularly pursue seminars and supplementary courses with renowned designers to advance my floristry talents. I adore learning so much! You may find me taking care of several houseplants and gardening when I’m not working in my studio.
