budget

Wedding

So, at last you have made up your mind to settle down with your partner, making your relationship official by holding a beautiful ring exchange event. Have in mind that there are so many crucial things to be done and decision to be mad. So get ready and start planning for your big event as early as possible. It wouldn’t be appropriate to make rush decisions in the last me.

To plan your wedding well, with equal attention being focused on all segments of your marriage, it is ideal to come up with a good plan. If you want your day to be complete without hiccups, a wedding planning checklist is essential. Once you start to list things down, you will discover that there are so many things to taken care of, which you might have ignored because of the excitement.

Listed below are some tips that you can have in your wedding planning checklist.

Budget

budget

You have to come up with a budget for a number of reasons. Invitation cards, catering, after party and weddings in general are quite expensive, but the more you keep track of the money to be spent the more likely you are to stick with the budget you have set. Ensure that you put your budget into segments so you know you are being realistic, and then you can reallocate cash if you get a good bargain on the cake. You can also cut down cost by using wedding rental services.

Guests

On your big day, there will be probably some uninvited guest who will top up on your guest list. When busy look for the right wedding barn you should start by listing the people you are planning to invite. You will need to be figure out the numbers so as to get catering quotes, for venue size, and with the steps involved in the wedding planning process, so it is a good idea to come up with a list early enough.

Wedding Date

Instead of having one specific date set in your head, come up with several options. This will be much easier when you are trying to create the ideal barn for your reception. The more recognition you give to your guests the better, if you seek advice from family and friends, then you can settle on one. Once you have settled on a date, don’t make adjustments for anyone. It will be way more difficult than pleasing the person, and definitely three are some people who will not attend regardless.

Ideas for a budget wedding

Getting your body trim and fit

You’ve found the one and you’re ready to share the joy of getting married with all your friends and relatives. Of course, you want everything to be perfect – from you dress and the wedding menu to the every last bit of floral decorations on the tables. Having the wedding of your dreams can be quite expensive… or not. You don’t have to spend a fortune on your wedding day – just use your creative side and follow these tips:

  1. Wedding venue

1

The wedding venue would without doubt be one of your biggest wedding expenses. However, you can save money by reserving a date during the week – Saturday is the most desired wedding date. You can also book a place located in the countryside – even better, you can hardly get the romance of the countryside within the city limits!

You can also choose an unusual venue that isn’t used for weddings in general. Not only is there a chance you’ll get a better price but if you choose a historical site or a gallery, the venue will also supply you with its own decoration!

  1. Reception menu

3

Financial struggles give you a great opportunity to get creative with your rehearsal dinner! You can throw a barbecue in yours or one of your friend’s backyards or organize a picnic in the local park. Not only are you saving on the cost of restaurant dinner, but your guests are guaranteed to have much more fun!

You can also save money on food and drinks by providing your own. Find a venue that allows you to bring your own food and gather your family and closest friends to help you.

  1. Timing

The timing of the wedding can make the difference between having a budget one and spending a fortune on a single day. Apart from avoiding throwing your special day on a Saturday, you should also take the season into account. Generally, the best time to have your wedding is in January.

  1. Wedding flowers

2

The best advice is to be smart about choosing the type of wedding flowers. Most of them, especially the exotic ones, can be quite pricey. You can get your artistic friend to take care of the wedding decorations. Another good idea is to hire a florist to do one arrangement and you and your friends can copy it for all other tables.

When Who Will Walk You Down The Aisle Is A Mystery

For some brides there is no question about who will walk them down the aisle. If your parents are still together and you’ve always been a daddy’s girl, you’re all set. When that’s not the case you might find yourself trying to figure out who the heck is going to fill this role on your wedding day. While many brides these days are independent enough to want to march down that aisle themselves this article isn’t about those brides. It’s about the ones who can’t imagine walking down that aisle alone but for some reason don’t have a clear cut idea of who will do it.

Sure, tradition states that your dad walks you down the aisle but what if your dad isn’t actually your father? In the case of divorce and remarriage you may have both a father and stepfather who both mean a lot to you. If that’s the case, what do you do? Having both of them walk you down the aisle could be a bit awkward to say the least, but choosing one over the other could cause hurt feelings and tension within the family.

And then there are brides who don’t have the option of having their father walk them down the aisle because he hasn’t even been a part of their life. In my case, this applies, so when I got married the dad who raised me walked me down the aisle, as opposed to my biological father. But, if I hadn’t had that dad to fill the role who would have done it?

This is a question you may be asking yourself if you are planning a wedding and you are in this position. The right decision depends on you and what you want on the happiest day of your life. You could swallow your pride and ask the father that didn’t raise you to walk you down the aisle or you could choose another male family member or friend. No one can tell you what your decision should be as that is a very personal one that you have to decide on your own.

For brides who are renewing their wedding vows, something I plan to do with my husband within the coming months, there is a whole new opportunity to repeat the experience with whoever walked you down the aisle the first time or choose someone completely different. As I am in a position where my biological father has not been a part of my life, for my vow renewals I am considering asked a beloved relative that I lost contact with for years if he’d be willing to walk me down the aisle in place of the father who is a virtual stranger to me. That may be the right decision for me but you may disagree with me completely. Whoever you choose to walk you down the aisle should be someone who believes in you and your fiancé.

Bridal Beauty Blunders: Common Makeup Mistakes Every Bride Should Avoid!

Many brides are unsure whether or not to hire a makeup artist for their wedding day or if they should do their makeup themselves. Still, wedding professionals suggest taking the pressure off yourself on your special day and hiring a makeup artist. But, there are some mistakes brides can make on their wedding day, with or without a professional.

Not Getting a Trial

There’s a reason there is a rehearsal before the wedding day, and the same goes for makeup (and hair); you want to know what to expect, how long it will take and whether the artist can provide you with the look you want. What is a natural look to some isn’t always the same to others. If you cannot book a trial, bring reference photos and have a very good idea of what you want from your artist.

Forgetting a Touch Up Kit

Sometimes, your makeup artist will provide you with a touch-up kit, but if they don’t, this is something to keep in mind. Some items in the kit may include a couple of extra bobby pins, a mini can of hairspray, some setting or mineral veil powder and an application brush, blotting papers and your lipstick of choice.

Requesting Airbrush Makeup

Everyone wants that flawless airbrushed look we all see in magazines, and while application of the foundation takes less time this way, it is a lot harder to set airbrush makeup, and it tends not to wear as well. If you have oily skin or want a matte finish to your look on your wedding day, please consult with your makeup artist; they’ll recommend the best foundation.

Not Booking Your Artist Soon Enough

While picking out your dress, you should also think about picking out a makeup artist. Most popular artists book dates 18 months in advance, and you don’t want to miss out because you have waited. Check out their portfolio of work to get a good idea of whether or not this artist is good for you, and be mindful of the price point. Makeup artists can be expensive, but they offer a priceless experience and are worth their charge. Make sure you ask about the products they use in their bridal kits (if it’s brands you can get at your local drug store, they’ll likely be charging much less than the artists that use brands like Smashbox, NARS, Dior and Make Up For Ever to name a few) and make mention of any allergies you may have.
