Stephany and Dan Surprise Proposal Story on Rock 95.7

Dan and I (Stephany) have been together for almost 6 years. On October 17, 2013 Dan called into the Rock 95.7 radio station and won Birthday Bash tickets. On November 8, 2013 Dan and I booked a hotel room, got dressed up, and went to the Birthday Bash at the Ranch Nightclub in Barrie. The night was so exciting, just the thought of over 200,000 in cash and prizes. We started out with some drinks, bumped into some people we knew and made our way to the front of the stage just as David Wilcox came out on stage. We danced and laughed right through to the end of second band which was 54-40. Awesome performances. As the band left the stage the Rock 95.7 crew and the Birthday bash babes came up on stage and started calling out ticket numbers for prizes. As Dan and I were at the bar buying drinks we had heard our ticket number called out. I was so over joyed that we had won something. I jumped through the crowd yelling "Yeah We Won". We got up on stage and was introduced to the whole Rock 95 Morning crew. Craig Ross had handed Dan the microphone, which confused me a little bit. He then gets down on one knee and pulls out a beautiful yellow gold diamond ring. I was in such awh and this burst of joy and happiness came over me. I started to cry. Dan had given a little speech but I said yes before he was even done. I was shaking. He grabbed me and dipped me backwards and kissed me. It was amazing. I was in my own world with all the cameras flashing and over 1000 people there watching and cheering. I felt like a celebrity. I just kept telling myself do not trip, fall or faint because I am so clumsy. Everyone on stage congratulated us as well as the other 1000 people in the room. We were handed engagement cupcakes, Courtesy of Rock 95. Walking off the stage I was shaking but I felt like I was sparkling. I found out Dan had the whole thing planned out with Rock 95.7. I was so surprised, I had absolutely No idea he was going to propose. So the birthday bash turned out to be our big engagement party with many awesome people we didn't even know. But we had a blast and in the end we didn't win any prizes but each other. And I couldn't of asked for a more amazing, romantic evening. A few days later we got a phone call from rock 95.7 for a follow up of our night and talked to both of us live on air. I've never felt more special! | |||||||
