My Fiance Josh and I got engaged June 30, 2016 while I was working away from home for 7 months. I came home on our 4 year dating anniversary and he took me on a date like we do every year. He had a whole day planned out which is SO rare, everything with this guy is a "play it by ear" day. I on the other hand have to have everything planned, so this was such a pleasant surprise especially since I had no idea what we were going to do until we got there. First we went for lunch and then went mini-golfing at a new place that opened up in Medicine Hat. It was SO much fun!!! After golfing we went for dinner at the first place he took me on a date "the Cheesecake Cafe" and our food was absolutely perfect! I play women's fastball so he knows baseball is a big part of my life, so he had planned to take me to a ballgame after dinner but there was a rain delay. So he started driving to a park where we also went on our first date in case the rain cleared up we could go for a walk. Well it did so off we went for about 15 minutes until we came across this beautiful little rock beach as the lake was low, so we went to watch the sunset. As I was enjoying the view it of coarse started raining again so as I turned to run back up the hill to the vehicle/shelter, Josh was down on his knee asking me if I would spend the rest of my life with him. I of coarse said YES! Sunset rain proposal??? Super romantic! Anyways once we left he looked over at me and told me he even checked and our same date fell on a Saturday in two years, so we could get married on our 6 years of being together. When we decided to do engagement photos he wasn't overly thriller lol. We ended up watching the movie Mastermind, and decided to take some engagement photos in the same awkward and funny fashion as they did. It was SO SO SO much fun and they turned out even better than we hoped ?? now to get bridesmaid dresses so hoping to win them because, well.. Who doesn't want to win lol.
