Our residence rooms were right across the hall from each other, so during the first week there, Kyle knocked on my door to introduce himself to me. Strangely, it didn't take long for me to realize that Kyle was the one. After 5 years of dating, Kyle planned to propose by taking me back to McMaster and asking me to marry him outside of my residence room where we first met. After having no luck contacting the residence manager to let us in the building, Kyle quickly had to change his plans. Being afraid that I would find the ring, Kyle proposed while cooking lunch one afternoon at home, which came as a very unexpected and wonderful surprise! We then celebrated our anniversary by going back to McMaster and out for dinner where we went on our first date.
