Hi my name is Danielle Dunn I am 26 years old. The second week in June this year my boyfriend for two and a half years now, myself and two other couples went on vacation to St Maarten/St Martin. My boyfriend Vaughn was planning on proposing to me while on vacation. He wanted to do it on top of the highest mountain where you could see around the whole island from it, called Pic Paradis. The day we climbed it was not planned so he did not bring the ring ! Then the day before we left we went snorkeling and sea trekking between great bay and little bay. We went snorkeling first then for the sea trekking which is when they put a 75 pound astronaut looking helmet on your head and you walk the bottom of the ocean. Everyone made me go first ! I was so scared. Vaughn went behind me. I started to walk a little bit and soon after I felt him poking me. I turned around and there he was on one knee with a huge smile on his face. Notes to menion there was no communication with these helmets just hand signals. He had the ring out and was mouthing will you marry me. He couldn't hear me say yes so I did the thumbs up and quickly stopped becaus that meant bring me up out of the water ! Then I did the A-ok sign which meant everythings good !! He understood me and put the ring on my finger :-D I was so panicky already being 20 feet underwater and just wanted to get out to process what happened ! But I stayed underwater and there was a photographer that was aware what was happening :-D. So luckily he caught the whole thing and his best friends were right beside him the whole time it was perfect. Thanks
