Darren and Angela unexpected perfect proposal

Darren and I started dating 6 years ago. One of our mutual friends wanted us to meet and thought we would be a great match for each other. Instead of my friend doing the awkward "I have a friend I want you to meet.." she planned a night out at a local bar with a bunch of mutual friends. By the end of the night Darren and I were talking and laughing and having a great time. We exchanged numbers and ended up seeing each other the next day. At the beginning of our relationship it was a challenge. Darren lived in Oshawa and I lived in Toronto. Both of us being college students and working did not leave us a lot of time. We made it work and have spent every weekend together since.
The Proposal: Darren and I had been talking about getting engaged for a couple of months. We went to look at rings so he could source out the style that I liked most. On our 5 year anniversary we headed up to Niagara Falls to celebrate. Went out for dinner, tried our luck on the slots and went shopping the next day in Buffalo. Everyone had it in my head that it would be happening that night but no ring and no proposal. The next day Darren had some running around to do and I ended up staying at his place. After an hour or so he came back and told me he had something to give me..... and well you know the rest of the story! It was perfect for me. I was not expecting it at all and it was just the two of us. Just the way I like it :) Also, here is a video we made Thank you! Angela |
