Lindsay and Tyson Beautiful Engagement Story

Tyson and I have been together for 3 years this passed week and on the weekend following our anniversary we went to Ottawa to visit a gf of mine who was visiting from Vancouver. We decided that since we were in Ottawa and as Proud Canadians we should definitely go skating on the Rideau Canal while in the city.
We went out on to the ice and were skating around for a bit, stopped and got the beavertails which my gfs husband Ken said we "had" to do. I even "checked in" to the rideau canal and posted a pic on fb to prove we did it, lol. After warming up with some hot chocolate then sun came out so we decided to skate further. This being the first time i had been on skates in about 10 years i didn't do them up properly and asked Tyson to tighten them up.. While we were searching for a bench for me, his skate also became loose and he needed to "tie it tigher." As he bent to tighten his skate, i turned my back to him and looked around for a dry bench to sit on for my turn. Out of no where i heard ppl starting to say "awwhh" and "oh my God" when i turned around there he was on one knee with my ring out, and asked me to Marry him!! I was in such shock i just said "oh my God" then answered (what he says was a lifetime later) with "YES!!" and i got down on my knee's and hugged him and kissed him. We hadn't noticed the crowd that had gathered by then and ppl started to clap and cheer for us :) A lady named Arlene came up to us and said she took pics and gave us her email address for when we returned home. It was a beautiful proposal with and even more beautiful ring. Tyson has been an avid hockey player since he was 4 years old so i'm glad that being in his hockey skates for this moment is something that meant a lot to him too.
