My fiancé and I headed off for a week vacation to Riveria Maya, Mexico in January 2016. During the first few days of our vacation we did a few excursions and took endless amounts of photos around our resort. While taking photos I had casually mentioned my favourite spot was one set of rocks out on the reef. It had rained all day every day of our trip, but on the 4th day we had finally got some nice weather so we went down to the beach because my now fiancé was dying to go snorkelling. Once we found some chairs on the beach, my fiancé kept insisting we go take more pictures in my favourite spot, all the while I kept saying "no it's ok, let's take advantage of the weather and make sure you get some snorkel time" (we had already taken tons of pictures on the rocks days before). For some reason he kept saying no to snorkelling, so I agreed and we went up on the rocks. Now our camera had a self-timer so we got it all set up and got into the rocks to take some photos. As we set up for more photos, a gentleman walked by asking if we wanted him to take our picture, we agreed and he took a couple. Finally my fiancé got up and asked him for one last photo of us on the boardwalk. So we got ready and then ..... IT HAPPENED!!! He got down on one knee, opened his bubba and inside he took out the ring box. We both started crying, he asked me to be his wife (exact words I don't remember, my mind was RACING), I said YES ! And we are forever grateful of that gentleman's random act of kindness, as he had no idea what he was in store for. | ||||
