Dan and I planned to go see a local 80s Rock cover band and meet my parents. My sister came to visit and we were going to surprise my parents. During the second set of music, the band asked for someone to come up to sing the next song which was "Shut Up and Dance". Knowing that Dan used to be the lead singer of a band and that the song was one of our favorite songs, I started pointing to him and saying his name to go up. The band choose him and he went up to perform. I grabbed my phone and started recording his performance. During the song, my father and Dan's best friend pulled out a banner that said "Nicole Will You Marry Me?" After the song was over, they pulled me up on stage and he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Of course I said, "YES!"
