Alyssa and Nicholas - Full of Surprises Engagement Story

I went to Nicholas' house Friday July 3 like usual. When I got there he was not home, but his mom have me a gift bag with the first movie we ever saw together (Nick and Norah's infinite playlist) and clue number 1 that read "There are plenty of fish in e sea, but you are the only one for me. Go to the place where we have many 'dates' where it's all you can eat and we finish our plates." So off I went to Sushi date where we often go for weekend lunches. When I got there my mom and sister were standing outside the restaurant with a kimono I had wanted and clue number 2. Clue number 2 said "You are tall, skinny, and extra hot. Drive to the place where we buy drinks a lot. My love for you will go on for infinity, your next clue will be at Trinity". After seeing my mom and sister I knew what was happening and could not wait to get to my next clue. I went to Starbucks at Trinity commons mall. When I got there, one of his sisters was waiting inside with my favourite drink in a reusable cup that said "I love you a latte." She also had clue number 3 which read " I met you here when I saw you from afar, you were probably alarmed when I jumped into your car." I knew with that clue I was going to Sheridan College where I went to school and Nicholas had followed me to the parking lot and jumped in my car and wouldn't get out until I gave him my number. When I got to Sheridan, his youngest sister was there waiting for me with clue number 4 and a single pink rose, which 7 years ago Nicholas had given to me at Sheridan. Clue number 4 said "You say that I'm never on time and always late, but now I'm waiting for you where we had our first date." I knew I was going to the Keg but anyone who knows me knows I am awful at directions. I am not from the Brampton area and there is more than one Keg in the area. Nicholas knew I wouldn't know how to get there so he had preprogrammed his GPS with destination 4 for me. When I got to the Keg, a waiter directed me to Nicholas who was waiting with 12 red roses and a handmade sign with my favourite colours. He then got down on one knee and told me he wanted to spend he rest of his life with me and asked me to marry him. His best friend was there to take pictures during, and Nicholas had arranged each person to take a picture when I received each clue to document the day. At the Keg we had a glass of champagne and Nicholas told me what he had planned for the rest of the day. We went back to his house, changed, and then went to Moxies for dinner with our siblings and closest friends to celebrate.
It was a day full of surprises and I couldn't have asked for anything better. |
