It started Saturday April 5, 2014 Jamie & I went to go look for a new truck for Jamie. After going to John Bear on Upper James we found the one and Jamie knew he wanted to purchase it.
Your wondering what this has to do with my proposal but just wait and hear what Jamie thought of in just 4 days! After signing on the dotted line we were told the truck would be ready Wednesday April 9, 2015 for pick up. So the speed things up Wednesday comes and I was SUPER excited for this new Chevy truck but I knew Jamie was way more excited! I came home from work and Jamie made me dinner and we were going to pick up the truck in a hour so we ate quickly and talked about who we were going to see with the new truck tonight! So we drove to John Bear and the dealer that was helping us Dave Hamm was a highschool friend of Jamies and Jamie told me Dave put the truck in the show room because it's something Dave & Jamie would do. So we got inside and there it was the truck....and also Jamies best friend Chris sitting in the front seat of the truck with the windows down. I thought he was there getting his car in for a recall. After a few minutes maybe seconds not sure ..Chris turns the truck on and I'm really confused at this point and we rolls the windows up and in white paint it reads "WILL YOU MARRY ME" and I look to my side and Jamie is on his knee with a ring!! I screamed with excitement and then I look around and everyone was watching and also part of my family was there hiding the whole time and with our two puppies with white satin bows around their necks! This was by far the best surprise because I had no idea on a Wednesday night and also I was just thinking about how exciting it was for Jamie to get this truck he was dreaming of and SURPRISE a few minutes later I'M ENGAGED!!! This is what love is about thinking quickly and knowing that I would be surprised. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with Jamie Elder! |
