On Friday 9/13/14 was the night my fiance proposed to me. I certainly wasn't expecting it on such a night, especially when we were meeting 2 of my old friends for dinner in Hoboken NJ. When we arrived at the restaurant, my girlfriend said that after dinner we were going to the W Hotel in Hoboken to meet up with her husband's friend who was staying there. We arrived at the hotel and while my friend & I remained at the bar having cocktails, my BF and friend went up to the hotel room to meet "the friend". Moments later, my friend's husband returned to the lobby and said we should come up to see the spectacular view in the room. When we reached the front of the door my friend made me walk ahead and said "Go in". I opened the door slowly and noticed a partially dark room with rose petals on the ground. As I realized what was about to occur I froze at the door and my friend's husband pushed me lightly through the door and closed it behind me. I completely entered and saw candles lit throughout the room and walked to the terrace with this spectacular view! My boyfriend was standing in the balcony with a black box in his hand as I sat on a chair and said how he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. It was such a sweet, romantic, and emotional moment! Once I said yes, I learned how my friends had been in on it for almost 2 weeks. It was just a great moment over all. | ||||||||
