My fiance's Christmas party was in December, this was the second time since we moved to Ontario that we were able to go out without our children. There were plenty of games that were being played before dinner was served. One of the game was 'Do you have?' The DJ would ask 'Do you have... a Costco card?' and so on. He asked for 10 or 12 things, then said the game was done. Double checked his list and said 'Oops, we have one more, Does anyone have an engagement ring?' Right away a herd of women ran up to the table, including Dan. I thought the DJ must have messed up (Dan was on the party committee) and Dan was trying to fix it. As soon as Dan left our table everyone sitting with us pulled out their cell phones, which I thought was very strange. The DJ then apologized for saying the wrong thing he was supposed to ask 'Does anyone have an engagement ring, that is not yet in use?' At which point Dan came over and got on one knee in front of the 100+ people that were there and proposed. I was shocked out of my mind. Even with his friends filming my reaction I had no idea what was up. Every one at our table including myself was in tears by the end of his speech. It was the perfect proposal for me! |
