Hello everyone! My name is Melissa Gravelle and I am getting married to my wonderful fiancee Anthony DiGiovanni in Jamaica July 1st, 2014!
We first met when we worked together in Limeridge Mall at Sports Obsession. It was the best job ever, working with all boys. Apparently when I started working he called "dibs" to ask me out, and well the rest is history. Over those 2 years since we met our love grew so strong. So we talked and planned on getting engaged around October 2013. Little did I know, we all planned a family trip to Punta Cana for new years, and he decided to surprise me and pop the question there... How could I say no? So the real story begins; the first full day there was December 31st, 2012. We were on the beach and my finacee said he needed to go back up to the room to put on more sunscreen, so of course I didn't think anything of it. When he came back he said he wanted to go for a walk, and of course me wanting to tan I kept saying no, and telling him to go with someone else. Finally he told me it was something important so I went with him. We walked up the beach to a secluded point, and he got down on one knee. Now normally at this point you would think they have everything they want to say all planned out, but this was not this case in my situation. It was the cutest thing he started studdering and getting so nervous. But eventually he got it all out and of course I said YES! The best part was after I said yes, I was nervous and didn't want to go back and tell everyone yet. So after a while we made our way back and to my surprise EVERYONE was napping in their chairs on the beach. It was PERFECT! So my finacee and I hopped in the pool and of course I asked him all those questions like when did he get the ring and how didn't I know. After our celebratory shot a police man at the side of the pool blew his whistle, my fiancee tapped my shoulder and said "Meliss he's calling you". He was yelling at me to get out of the pool! Reluctantly I swam his way and got out of the pool, and when I got out and looked at him, I realized that he was the adult entertainment at out adults only resort! HAHA! That being said he pretty much felt me up my side and when he turned to leave he had buttless chaps on! It was absolutely hilarious. The whole time I thought my fiancee had something to do with it, but it turns out it was just dumb luck that he chose me right after I got engaged. That evening we went out for dinner and got a bottle of champaigne for our table, announced our engagement and celebrated with our family. We partied all night long for two reasons, our engagement and new years! It was one of the best days in my life. We are excited to follow suit and tie the knot on our week long destination wedding in JAMAICA! Thanks for reading and for your support, I hope you all enjoyed our story! |
