It was Valentine's Day 2009. We took a week off work to travel to Cuba for scuba diving and a little romance. On Feb 13, my fiance found a perfectly closing small shell while diving. The next day, as we were diving an area called "monkey reef", he took me down to the only sandy spot on this dive, and proposed. He had the ring tied with fishing line to an elastic band of mine (so I wouldn't lose it in the water) and in that shell he found the day before. He unzipped his wet suit and the words "Marry Me" were written on his chest. The best part of it was our guide got it on video! We have since misplaced this dvd, but will never forget the moment when you could hear my high pitched squeal indicating "yes", and then we hugged amidst all our scuba gear. This was the most unsuspected moment of our relationship, even though we had been together for 6 years. I thought he was the type to just "go with the flow", even though we had talked about growing old together. We cant wait to start the next chapter of our lives as husband and wife :)
