My fiancé and I have recently gotten engaged and I would like to share our story. Let me start by telling you a bit about us. We met on October 30th, 2010 while we were walking our dogs in High Park ( a dog park in Toronto). We connected instantly and I moved in with him shortly after. Everything has been amazing since, even our dogs are in love. The day he proposed was September 18th,2011. The day started with him waking me up to serve me breakfast in bed. Upon opening my eyes I realized the entire from was covered in rose petals and lit candles everywhere. It was the most romantic thing he has ever done. When I asked what this was all about he just said "because I love you so much". After eating he told me to get ready for a day I'll never forget. We left the house at 10. Little did I know we were going horseback riding! As we pulled up to the ranch I was flabbergasted. I hadn't been horseback riding before and he knew it was something I've wanted to do since I was 5. After that we drove back to Toronto and went to the restaurant we had our first date at for lunch. A quiet little Italian restaurant named Villa. It was a good as I remembered. When we finished lunch he said we should take the dogs for a walk before going home for the day. We walked through high park with the dogs, as we talked about the first wonderful day we met. As we were walking through the trails he stopped and pulled me close to him. It was the spot where we first layed eyes on eachother. We stood there holding eachother for a few minutes and he started talking, he said; "a year ago if you asked me if I believe in soulmates I would have laughed, then 11 months ago I met you and that all changed. Waking up next to you, seeing you smile every morning is like a dream come true. I would be honoured to spend the rest of my life with you .... Will you marry me?" Up until the point where he started kneeling down I had no idea what he was doing. I was wondering why he was shaking so much, he was very nervous. I started crying, extremely happy tears and said "of course I'll marry you!" The dogs came and gave us both huge kisses and he slipped the ring on my finger. We are now happily in the planning stage of our wedding and cannot wait to share our lives together. | ||||
