Faye & Kyri Engagement Story: Third times a charm!

We were on our trip in the Bahamas in Feb 2011.
We spent all day laying the hammocks talking and being in love. The 2nd night Kyri tried to gather palm leaves and write "Will you marry me" in the sand. He surrounded it with candles. When the time was right in the evening, he went back to check on his display but noticed it was too dark to read. He had to quickly scrap that idea while I waited for him in our room (he said he went to the store). The 3rd night he tried to bribe the Restaurant waiter to set up a private dinner for us on the beach, that didn't work! The 4th night we were feeling pretty tired, and decided after the show we would go lay in our favourite hammock, listen to music and talk. It was amazing, and we both felt truly happy to be in each others arms and in paradise. He surrounded the hammock with candles (I didn't expect anything because he is pretty romantic!) I soon walked back to the hotel to use the bathroom. On my return I see he had moved the candles into a circle formation and he was standing in the circle. Overhead his ipod was blaring our favourite and first slow song 'All my life - by KC & JOJO'. He asked me to dance. As soon as the song was over, he told me how much he loved me and got down on one knee to propose, (and the crying begun!) In his nervousness he ripped open the box from the hinged end, making us laugh uncontrollably. It was the perfect moment! Our favourite time is when we are together doing regular things like cuddling and talking. The tears and laughter made it all the more special. I guess its true what they say 'Third times a charm!' |
