Priyanka and Amos beyond romantic proposal in Paris

My boyfriend and I were on a trip to London and Paris. On our second night in Paris, September 28, 2010, my boyfriend insisted we go to a fancy french restaurant. Neither of us spoke french, but we took their train to the spot, except the restaurant wasn't there anymore. So I pretended to know french and spit out "Ou est Cafe Zimmer"only to get replies in french that we didn't understand. Eventually someone told us where the location and it turns out the restaurant had changed names.
We ate our fancy meal and decided to get some wine and beer from the corner store to drink on the way home, since drinking on the streets is legal :) Amos (my fiancee) didn't do an ounce of planning for the trip but insisted we go to a particular bridge called Pont des Art. I was wearing a tiny dress and FREEZING by 10pm. He insisted we stay on the bridge and admire the view. There were tourists directly beside us and he kept giving them awful looks since this was ruining the romance for him. Eventully the tourists left, he bent down and I was still looking out at the view, and I thought he was getting a beer out of the bag to drink on our way home. Instead when i turned, he was fiddling with the ring box and said "I love you so much, let me love you forever. Will you marry me"? He slipped the ring on my finger, I said yes but are you shitting me? We hugged and kissed and cried a little I'm embaressed to say. We laughed the whole night home since I kept looking at my ring and asked if he was shitting me. That is our story. Paris is beyond romantic and I hope we go back in a few years and want to tell everyone to honeymoon there. Priyanka |
