My fiance and I have always enjoyed weekends away to blue mountain. We considered it to be our special getaway place.
Last October we decided to bring our families with us for the weekend for them to get to know each other better. Our first morning there Domenic and I got up early in the morning as we usually do (we are not people that like to sleep in) We took a walk around the village which was one of our favorite things to do in the morning as it was so quiet and peaceful. We then took a Gondola ride up the mountain. Cuddling as we road up the mountain I was thinking this is a perfect morning, and I couldn't be happier in this moment than I am right now. We got out of the gondola and walked to our favorite spot on the mountain that overlooked all of the Village and Georgian Bay, except it was very foggy that morning which made for an even more romantic experience. Domenic set up his camera on the picnic bench and set the timer to take a photo of us atop the mountain. As he came over to take his picture with me he began to tell me how much he loved me, and how he is so grateful to have me in his life, and he doesn't want to wait another day ( I was a little confused at this moment as I didnt know what was happening ha). Shaking got down on one knee and pulled out a ring and asked me to be his wife. Thankfully he was actually taking a video and we now have the whole moment caught on tape!. (we like to keep that for just the two of us tho :) ) When we came back down the mountain our families were waiting eagerly for us to return! |
