Our Engagement started one Monday when my boyfriend wanted to take a little road trip. We are very last minute, so I didn't think anything of it. We packed our bags and booked a hotel room just an hour away in Toronto. We spent the night in Toronto, went out to eat and did a little shopping. Little did I know but this wasn't the end. When we woke up the next morning he was sitting at the desk searching hotels in Montreal. I thought wow that's quite a drive...hey, let's do it! :). We got in the car and headed for Montreal, we listened to our favourite bands, sang our favourite songs, ate our favourite food, and told our funny stories. Once we reached "Old Montreal" we spent the next couple days hanging in the pool, shopping and eating at some amazing restaurants. We also took advantage of walking through old Montreal and toured a church..and of course took many great pictures. On December 31st, it was just the two of us, he wanted to plan the night and it would be a surprise for me. Still no idea...just played along. All I knew was to wear warm clothes and boots..:)..We went out to a beautiful italian restaurant and ate until we couldn't walk... we jumped in our car and headed to the unknown. We reached a large parking lot, unaware of where we were, I put on my "boots" and he had me walk up a large amount of stairs full of snow, to the point you couldn't see the stairs..:) laughing the whole way up..once we reached the top there was a building with washrooms..which I had to use from laughing soo hard..little did I know...there was still a little mission ahead..we walked for about 10 minutes, holding hands, watching couples and families walk by with looks of love until we reached this amazing spot I now refer to as "Mont Royal". We were overlooking Montreal! The most amazing feeling ever..and he bended to one knee and said something like this " You are amazing! I want you to be the mother of my children and the person I spend the rest of my life with, Marry Me?" and of course I said something like this " Yes, of course". I felt something amazing come over me, something I've never felt before, I felt Complete!!! | |
