Mary Beth & Shawn Prank Proposal as on commercial for Walmart

My boyfriend's mom heard about this commercial on TV for Walmart where this mother loses her wedding ring while making corn bread and then the son's girlfriend finds it and thinks he is proposing. My boyfriend's mom then decides to play a prank on her son to get even with him for all the jokes that he has played on them over the years. She buys this $10 ring from Walmart which they had me pick out so I could play along and on Dec 23,2012 when we were celebrating an early Christmas dinner, they put the ring in my apple pie while my boyfriend was in the washroom. I play along pretending that I am totally estatic when I find this ring in my apple pie. I start screaming "YES, YES I will marry you" and go to hug him but he starts freaking out and he is like NO!!!! and pushes me away. He tells his family they are jerks and storms off so I am sitting there in shock because it is totally out of his character for him to act like that. Then he comes back with the most beautiful ring and he gets down on one knee and says "if you don't like that ring, maybe you will like this one" and proposes for real.... I am in absolute shock and I look over at his mother and ask if "this is for real?" and she is just as shocked as I am. The rest of him family were in just as much as shock as I was because they had no idea that he was planning to propose. I think that best part of the story was later finding out that my boyfriend got mad at his family because he thought they were playing the prank on me, he had no idea that I was in on it. | |
