There's no such thing as a perfect wedding dress bought off a store. If anything, you still have to make it perfect. Pre-sewn bridal dresses would have to be altered to make it look really great on you. The question now is, "How do you choose a seamstress to modify your wedding gown?"
1. Find yourself a talented seamstress whose expertise is bridal dresses.
Not all seamstresses are alike. Each of them has specialties of their own. Look for the one whose specialty lies on wedding gowns. That way, you will be able to ask for the most unusual elements added to your gown and still get the best results.
2. Look for a seamstress that can give you professional suggestions.
Sometimes, what you like isn't the best for you. If your seamstress can easily yet professionally point that out, then you may just have found the best person for the job.
3. Check the price.
Seamstresses would definitely charge for any changes made on your dress. If you can first ask how much a particular alteration would cost, do so. If the price sounds good, you can proceed.
