Wedding Expert Minute Tip 17 - How an Expecting Bride Should Choose a Wedding Gown

Just because a bride is expecting does not mean that her choices are limited when it comes to finding a gorgeous wedding gown to flatter her body and her growing baby bump. While the bride's body is changing every month, it is best to wait a couple of months out before the wedding to purchase the wedding gown so fewer alterations are required. One style of gown that is sure to provide enough space for her growing child is an empire waist gown. With this style of dress, there may not be any alterations needed at all. If it is a summer wedding, a pregnant bride may want to opt for a chic shorter dress to show off her legs. A glowing bride and mother-to-be may accentuate her waist with a darker colored sash. For some expectant brides, a great alternative gown is one of a different color. It is becoming more popular that brides forego the white dress for a colorful version. Keep in mind that comfort comes before all so when choosing shoes, wear shoes with low heels or no heels at all. An expectant bride is always a beautiful one so enjoy your wedding day and show off your mother-to-be glow.
