In a wedding ceremony, a woman who is important as the bride herself is her mother. And what she has to wear is as much a big concern as the choice of the bridal gown. However, mother of the bride dresses should not be as glamorous as your bridal dress or you'll be overshadowed. Here are tips to follow in choosing a mother of the bride dress: 1. Pick a dress that matches your mother's style. Is your mom fond of wearing dresses that fit her age? Or does she prefer to wear the younger, trendier fashion? You know your mom better. Pick a style that's just right for her. 2. Make sure the dress hides her flaws but highlights her assets. Skinny mother of brides won't have any problem wearing anything at all. If your mom is on the slender side, find suitable dresses for her that will highlight her curves. But if she's a little big on the midsection, try to find clothes that will hide the flab but will still make her look elegant. 3. Choose a color that coordinates well with the bridesmaids. Mother of brides should wear dresses in colors other than white or black. The best color choice for her is the shade the complements the bridesmaids' dresses, not clash against them. I would just like to thank all the staff at Best For Bride in Etobikoke for helping my daughter and I find what we were looking for.
