Hello, this is Susan with BestForBride.com with another wedding planning trip for you. You have a specific theme and tone envisioned for your wedding reception. Maybe you are having a casual family orientated event with a lively band and plan on dancing the night away. Perhaps your wedding is an elegant "ball gown" affair with a string quartet and fancy Champaign. The theme, the budget and your own personal wishes will all have an impact on your decision to invite everyone's tiny-tots or not. The choice isn't just yes or no. You can also choose to provide one or more babysitting options for guests as well. Your babysitter can be stationed in a room at the reception hall, at a nearby home or at the hotel your reception or wedding is at. This will be an added expense but if you are choosing not to allow children you could be preventing some of your guests from attending without providing a babysitting option. No matter what you choose, the most important bit of advice I can give you is to keep your rule uniform. If you allow some of your friends to bring their kids and not others it will certainly not go unnoticed and create an uncomfortable situation between friends.
