It's cheerful enough for those informal get-togethers, but can suit a more formal set up as well. As always, there are flowers that you can choose colors for, and the dye in the water may be changed to suit your taste. You can also add more flowers to the arrangement to give it a more compressed or heavier look, or maybe a little more color if you so prefer.
