Bryan told Jen that the two of them were going on a trip together and that the destination would remain a surprise until they arrived there. They never go on trips without Daylan so Jen had no idea what to expect. While driving to the destination, every sign that they seen, Jen asked if it was the place. Every time the answer was no.
Soon, it became apparent that they were in the mountains.
Jen had never experienced the mountains before so she knew this trip was very carefully planned out by Bryan. Of course, anyone that knows Bryan knows that he will always exceed your expectations. He always goes above and beyond. This trip was no different. They were in Tennessee, in the middle of the Smoky Mountains to be exact. Finally, they come across a road that winded up into the mountains. Every turn was higher than you'd ever expect, as if you were driving straight into heaven. At the top of "heaven" was our own dream cabin overlooking a fantastic view. Included are pictures of the cabin and the view since words won't do it justice.
The next day Bryan said that they would get up early to go to Cade's Cove and hike the trails.
During our time in Cade's Cove Bryan decided to pick a trail to hike even though it was raining - Abrams Falls. There and back makes this a rough 5-mile hike. Unfortunately, since it rained that morning, the trail was very muddy and made for a great adventure. After getting soaked, hiking the 5-mile trail didn't seem so bad actually. They took many pictures along the way.
Then, once they arrived at the end of the trail, there was a waterfall, a.k.a. Abram's Falls. It was beautiful. Bryan had surprised Jen since she didn't even know it was there.
Bryan had careful scoped around for someone to grab his camcorder to record them and then took Jen over by the waterfall and bent down on one knee. He then said something that was probably really special, but Jen really couldn't hear anything at that time. She was just in awe of the moment. Bryan reached for the ring from his pocket and then opened it up for Jen to see. He then tried nervously to take the ring out of the box. As he attempted to do this, the ring box escaped his grip and fell into the rushing water. Jen about jumped into the water to get the ring (even though she can't swim). Bryan held her back as she attempted to do so. Thankfully, Bryan was able to recover the ring box after getting almost in the water. He held it up to get the ring out of the box and that's when they noticed that the ring was no longer there. Jen freaked out and without thinking about being recorded, yelled Oh &*^*! Jen couldn't stop thinking about how perfect Bryan would have wanted this moment to be and because of this, he is going to be so unhappy. She thought to herself, "Will he even try this again? Or, will he just give up and we'll never end up married?" "Is this a bad omen?" Then, Bryan looked at me with the cutest grin ever and started to pull the real ring box out of his other pocket. Jen slapped him and admittedly, said "You &^&*()*" (again, forgetting about the camcorder). Once Jen finally stopped laughing, she said "Of course I'll marry you, silly goose". As they began to walk away, a huge applause began to form. Apparently, during this whole time, a crowd had formed. Everyone was yelling "Congratulations!". Jen couldn't stop laughing the whole way back....and not just the whole way back on the trail...the whole way home too. Even now today, Bryan hears Jen just randomly laugh and he knows why!
The whole engagement was a surprise, but knowing Bryan, Jen knew that she would be in for a laugh when he proposed. She knew he would do it in his own special Bryan-way and he did not disappoint her.
Oh, by the way, I did mention that Bryan had someone else record the whole thing right? Of course he did, because he is always such a planner. This video is included, but I'm warning you, you are going to laugh so hard you'll cry!!! Here is the video.

We came in today because I'm gonna panic because I'm gonna marry in two weeks and I absolutely hated my dress so I just mentioned a few things what I wanted and she pulled, the first dress that she pulled I put on and I loved it fits in and out in and out in literally in 25 minutes steaming it all. Yeah

Unique. We came here after quite a disaster. We have been going through a lot. The wedding has been the last thing on our plate, so we were behind and we came here kind of ... and we managed to find my dress in the first hour that I love and it felt like being on an action show Say Yes to the Dress. Yeah, yeah that's wonderful yeah and it's really nice to have the ladies be there with you, compliment you, trying to find exactly what you need, they know what they are doing and that is just a really great experience.
