Mike and I were in Jamaica we kept getting phone calls from the front desk, they were ALL for Mike. When I asked questions he said little and cracked a joke - typical Mike! I had no idea wtf this front desk lady kept calling for and it went on for like 4 days. A bit frustrated the fourth night I asked one last time and Mike asked me if we could talk about it over dinner. Although I was hungry as always, I was a bit worried, confused; imgine it was you. You've been in a foreign country for a day and your boyfriend is getting calls everyday from the front desk and not telling you anything. As we walked to dinner he took my hand and led me through the restuarnt and as I went to sit each time he said no, finally he said we are sitting over there and pointed out to a candle lit gazebo out by the water. Mike is NOT romantic and we had talked about marriage - even looked at rings and I had picked one but knew that he didn't have money for it. So I thought - okay an early birthday gift. When we got out there he explained that the lady at the front desk that I may or may not have been ready to slap - jk but seriously was calling and cancelling a dinner right on the beach as it was too windy and finally Mike said just put it at the gazebo. Well at the end of my lobster dinner - which is my fav btw Mike said " I want to ask you something" and walked over to me and got on his knee and fumbled through him pocket. Next came the four words that I will never forget "Will you Marry me?" followed by a minute later as I store blankly at him "Say something please?" Then I realized oh snap back to reality "Yes, I wouldn't want to marry anyone else". Turns out he is somewhat romantic and the thought he put into our engagement will prob be the last of our romantic ventures but he had me at lobster! And now 2 years & a baby later we have set a date and are ready to get hitched!
We landed in here on Saturday afternoon unannounced and Donna and Denise were awesome. We spent last only 3 or 4 hours in here trying on a hundred dresses and then leaving with my ideal dress. Awesome place I would recommend anybody to come here at any time. They give great service, great prices, great atmosphere. Thank you.
Please tell us about your experience at Best for Bride.
We came in today because I'm gonna panic because I'm gonna marry in two weeks and I absolutely hated my dress so I just mentioned a few things what I wanted and she pulled, the first dress that she pulled I put on and I loved it fits in and out in and out in literally in 25 minutes steaming it all. Yeah
Awesome, thank you ladies.
I just wanted to say that my family and I have been SO PLEASED with the service that best for bride provided for us. They were gracious and prompt, quicker than we thought they would be and the shoes are beautiful that we got and we can't say enough good things about them.
I bought two "mother of the groom" dresses from Denise at Best for Bride in Barrie. The first wedding was on April 29, 2011. I have attached a picture showing the mother of the groom dress. The next wedding is June 25 - I will send the picture after that. The bride wore a dress that was made by a friend. I would like to thank Denise for a wonderful experience I had.
My name is Elaine and I purchased my dream wedding dress from Best for Bride. The service I received from my very first visit to every time I went back was just amazing. They were all so supportive, helpful, honest and really had an eye for seeing the vision I was trying to find. They made me feel like a princess and really helped me with my search for my dream gown. When I did find "the dress" they were just as happy and excited as my family and friends were, they were the best goup of ladies to have with me at that moment. The customer service at Best for Bride was no comparison to any of the other stores I had been to, and ultimately, is why I kept going back and found my wedding gown there.
Thanks so much ladies, it was the best experience, and just the experience I hoped for.
