My last semester of College, I was placed in an internship at a group home for at-risk teens. I was to be a mentor/positive role model for the girls living there which I did very well. One of the residents mentioned one day that Scotty and I would make a cute couple. I responded with something along the lines of I think he's really cute but he seems to much of a good boy for me. Apparently she relayed the message because on my way home that night I got a text from him saying "you have no idea..." I responded with "oh yeah?" I wasn't sure at the time what he was talking about but I wanted to seem mysterious. He replied back with, "I am not as good as you think" and then I responded with a winky face. We didn't stop texting each other from that point on. The next morning we were still texting non-stop and when I said I was about to take a shower he replied flirtingly back with "prove it!" I was in the bathroom already naked but I wasn't about to reveal everything to him just yet. I stood in front of the mirror so the counter came up just above my hips and positioned my camera phone perfectly so it would cover my boobs. I know it was a big tease but I couldn't help myself. The next day we had a staff meeting to go to and made plans to hang out when it was over. I dressed in my sexiest work appropriate clothes and as we sat through the two hour staff meeting the tension kept rising and rising. We made plans to meet at a park down the road and both drove there right after the meeting. Scotty was sitting in his back seat when I opened the door, climbed in, on top of his lap and started kissing him. We stopped for only a second and he said "Hi!" The whole scenario was full of passion and risk, probably the best bad decision I had ever made. To my luck, he was extremely impressed and turned on and loved my forwardness. Afterwards, I kicked off my heals and ran over to the swings for some fresh air and a breeze. We sat there talking and getting to know each other only to find out that we have like EVERYTHING in common, well, a lot of stuff!
From that day on, I was making trips to his house before and after my internship hours to hang out when ever it was possible. I even put in extra hours at my internship so I could work all night with him and then go spend the night with him. This relationship went on like this for about 3 or 4 months and let me tell you, I had the wrong impression! He was no goody goody and neither was I but when we were at the group home we always have stayed completely professional. No one even knew we were hanging out outside of work. When my internship ended, I started working there part time as well as two other part time jobs. I was searching for full time work where I could use my degree I had just earned with no luck. I made the tough decision to move to out of state and try to start fresh in a bigger city where there would be more opportunities. I really liked Scotty and he knew exactly what I liked but at this point I was focused on my career. Despite our feelings for each other, I moved. The relationship was rocky ever since I said I was moving. I was hoping he would be able to move eventually and I wanted him to get more on his feet anyhow. He made tremendous efforts once I left, like buying a car, consolidating his student loans, etc. but still couldn't make it happen. There was a period in time when we stopped texting and talking all together because every time we did it was just us being sad that we couldn't be with each other.
There was this body wash that he used to have in his shower that I was obsessed with. I had dropped and broken it one day when we were showering together and it had created a good memory for us. One day I saw that in the store and bought it because it reminded me of him and he was the only thing I could possibly think about. I took a picture of it and sent it to his phone. He responded with something along the lines of I was excited when I saw a picture message from you but a little disappointed with the results. A smile instantly came across my face, this wasn't over! We explained how much we missed each other and started talking again. I convinced him to come visit me during his upcoming vacation time and we had talked about me moving back at the end of the summer. Within a week or so those plans changed and during his vacation he came to visit and I moved back home with him at that time. I went back to part time at the group home and moved in to his mom's house with him in his tiny room.
8 months later, we couldn't be happier! We went through a lot of hard times financially, at work, and emotionally but we were by each others sides at every moment. We had discussed marriage, babies, our future, everything! This man couldn't possibly be more perfect I thought. On Valentine's Day, we both took the day off of work and the only plans I knew of was dinner at the fancy restaurant in town. Our friend is the sue chef there and offered us free desserts! :) I looked at my fiance before they came out and say "does he know I don't like chocolate?" He says, probably not but I requested toll house pie, if you get chocolate we will switch. I saw the waitress coming with the desserts on a high tray above her heard. I kept trying to see what kind of dessert he made and if it was chocolate or not. She set down the dessert and yes, it was a big piece of chocolate cake. On the side was a red rose and in the middle of the rose I saw a ring! I looked at him with my jaw dropped and said 'really???" he got down on one knee and I honestly don't even know what he said but it was along the lines of will you do me the honor of becoming my wife. I said yes immediately, I didn't care how he was going to ask, I wanted this man to be mine and only mine for the rest of time!
So tell me about your experience at Barrie Best for Bride.
When I walked in they were very welcoming and greeting and it is so beautiful and big store and able to go and take a look at all the dresses and styles and go and actually pick some out ourselves that we would like to try on instead of having consultant just pick ones for you. And very comfortable, very big, open spaces, able to look and try different things. And plenty of time, no pressure, a lot of time to take a look around, try on all different dresses that I wanted to. Everything was great and really wonderful.

I am here today to find a dress. We're getting married in a couple of weeks, so it's short notice. Found a very beatiful dress off the rack and I am very happy. Thank you so much.
