The quick engagement of Shawn and Bridget...after 2 weeks we were both certain we were made for each other, and almost 5 years later we still feel the same way.
I had just got out of a long draining relationship and I was not looking for anything. My friends joined a dating website for fun, and would not stop asking me to join it. I told them 'If I join will you shush already!?" long story short I joined...not even a week after a guy messaged me, he had just move to my hometown from Timmins. I was hesitant to meet him, since I have never really met many people from the internet, something told me just go with it. I drove over to his aunts house where he was living for the time being. We drove all night. It turns out we both had the same things in common, hockey, baseball, driving just to drive etc. I came home that night and went to my mother saying "I'm going to marry him" of course a claim like that is rarely accurate. A week went by and he ask me to go on a vacation, nothing drastic Niagara Falls about an hour and a half away. I said yes, which is very unlike me, but I trusted him for some reason. A week after that he picked me up from work. We went for a drive (our usual date night) around the nearby towns. After a long drive I took him back to his aunts house, behind their house is a baseball diamond. He asked me to take a walk... He gave me a hug when we got out of the car and then took my hand. we walked over to the diamond, and lead me right to home plate. He reached into my pocket and took out a beautiful ring... my jaw dropped. He told me that even though we haven't been together that long that he knows it will be like this forever. Without a hesitation I said yes. That was over 4 years ago. I never in my wildest dreams would have imagined that I would find someone who is perfect for me in everyway online. What is even more interesting is that all our lives we have struggled with the same type experences. If you read the lyrics "God bless the broken road" by Rascal Flatts, every thing in that song is meant for us. We were abused financially and emotionally in our past relationships and all those events lead us to each other. We plan on having our first dance to that song, its seems very appropriate. Well thats our story, 4 years later and we are still going strong.
I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend, and I can't wait to spend everyday with him by my side.
So tell me about your experience at Barrie Best for Bride.
It was amazing. I came in just to look. My wedding is still 14 months away so I just kind of came in to get an idea and bridesmaid colors and designs and ended up finding my bridesmaid dresses as well as my wedding dress. The staff was amazing. They were really helpful at sizing. They were really helpful with the pricing and they were amazing with my bridesmaids. One of them was getting emotional and they were amazing helping there as well.
It is just highly recommended. I absolutely loved it.

I had a really positive experience at Best for Bride. We have been to over 10 different bridal shops and this was the one and this was the best one so far. We were ignored in other stores and then some places were to high then the other ones and this one just worked perfectly. We got her bridal gown (fantastic). We got her bridal gown and bridesmaid dresses. Fabulous. Thank you ladies.
So please tell me your experience at Best for Bride. It was a great experience. I came in with the bride and two other bridesmaids and we tried on a million and one dress and when we finally found one that fit us perfectly, all three of us, it was great so the ladies were really really helpful, we were able to try on as many dresses as we wanted and then sizing and they all sized us perfectly. Oh that's great. Yeah we had a really great experience here. That's awesome.
Jordan and I were married on October 11 2009. When he first saw me in my dress, he cried - it must have been all the emotion AND the stunning dress!!! I am so happy to have purchased my wedding dress at Best for Bride because it was an enjoyable process and the result was excellent. I did not feel the need to shop around to other stores because I knew immediately you had a great selection, fair prices and knowledgeable and friendly service. Your staff were helpful as I tried on dress after dress and the final alterations were a perfect fit. Now I am just looking for another occasion to wear this gorgeous dress!
I found here great selection of wedding dresses at most reasonable prices. You do not need to see another store. Shopping at BfB is a wonderful experience, and be prepared to spend here close to three hours trying on those wonderful dresses. Bring in your bridesmaids and the whole extended family to make this experience even more pleasurable and festive (just like in those shows on TV). Lucy was my shopping associate helping me to find THE RIGHT DRESS. You can say that: "I love Lucy". She is a good listener and she always brings the exact dress that I wanted to try on next. It certainly seems that she knows the whole inventory by heart. She is brutally honest with her opinions which are of great help. You can trust her point of view. The major assets of this store are: Lucy, endless inventory of dresses, reasonable prices, and the overall customer service. I found the dream dress that fits for the occasion of a lifetime.
