They say high-school sweet hearts never make it, there too young, they don't know what real love is. I used to believe people that said things like this, I mean who's to know who they are going to spend the rest of their life with at such a young age, but I guess somethings are just meant to be. I met the love of my life when I was only a junior in high-school and 8 years later I still wake up with him next to my side, and I could honestly never be happier. Over the last 3 years, our life's changed. He got a job that involves a lot of travelling and we gave birth to a little boy named Isaac. It seemed like things were just falling into place. Though we were sometimes having our ups and downs, we would always stick together.
On mothers day of 2014, I had woken up and started to make coffee when Isaac ran up to me and gave me a box. I opened it and there was my promise to be engaged ring. It was pretty magical! A few weeks before Christmas 2015, I had some suspicions that Brandon was going to propose. The looks on his face and having people tell me that it is going to happen(even though they had no idea). It was all making me feel like it really going to be true! Then I started to think to myself; I better not get my hopes up in case we're wrong. Christmas morning came, everyone had open their gifts but there was one left! Brandon handed it to me, and on it said, to mom love Isaac. It was wrapped in a granola bar box and stuffed with brown paper. I reached in and there was a little grey box with a blue diamond ring inside. I did not know how to react because I knew something else was coming. I looked over, and he was on one knee asking me to marry him. Of course, I said yes! Best Christmas ever. |
