John and I first met in grade four. We went to the same elementary school, then lost touch when we went to different high schools. We reconnected after university, and we certainly consider ourselves lucky for rekindling that friendship!
John is one of the most creative and unique individuals I know. Though he works as a computer programmer by day, he has an artistic side that he lets loose after-hours, and it's one of the things that I love most about him.
For a few months (since March), John had been giving me cue cards with a cute story about farm animals, uniquely titled "Farm Animals". Each time he'd provide me with a continuation to the story (which was every few days), he'd introduce a new character and give me a little plastic animal to add to the collection (i.e. Gerard the Gentle Goose, Chris the Curious Cow, George the Grumpy Goat, Sheila the Stylish Sheep). George the Grumpy Goat, in particular, loves to collect objects, and already had a marble, paperclip and shiny penny in his pile.
On June 3rd, a gloomy Thursday evening, we were planning to go to Starbucks to have a working night. He picked me up, and we both had our laptops in tow. Instead of walking to Starbucks, John suggested we first sit on the nice benches outside (and we normally do when the weather is nice, but it had been raining most of the day). I laughed and said "but it rained," and he said "oh, no, it's okay", and took out a napkin to quickly wipe the bench. We sat down, and he sheepishly said he had something to give me. He reached into his pockets and...pulled out a continuation to the story: George the Goat was having his annual yard sale to sell some of the unique items he's collected over the year. John, the Farmer, went to the yard sale to buy a magic eight ball, as they are out of production, and he heard it was very unique.
John then placed a magic eight ball in my hands, got on his knee, and told me to flip it over. He had modified the eight ball so the die would say "will u marry me?" on every single side (first proposal of its kind!). Grinning from ear to ear, I looked at John, who then told me he'd only give me a peak of the ring, then close the box so I would listen to what he had to say (funny guy!).
After my "yes", he proceeded to ask me for an (outdoor) dance - he had Love by Nat King Cole ready on his itouch (one of my favourite songs), and I danced under the stars with a man that constantly makes my heart flutter. That moment is a memory screen shot that I will forever cherish.

It has been fantastic. You Donna have been amazing, very personable and you helped us a lot. We got two dresses today for very affordable prices and everyone is very happy including myself and we're so very ecstatic about it.

We came in today because I'm gonna panic because I'm gonna marry in two weeks and I absolutely hated my dress so I just mentioned a few things what I wanted and she pulled, the first dress that she pulled I put on and I loved it fits in and out in and out in literally in 25 minutes steaming it all. Yeah
