In February of 2010 God introduced me to the love of my life, Jenise Walker. I was a year removed from finishing my Masters and waiting on my first career job when Jenise began working at the same hotel that I was employed with at the time in Huntvsille, AL. I was speechless when she walked past me for the first time and couldn't concentrate on my work for the remainder of the day. LOL. The first question she asked me was "WHAT'S YOUR NAME?" My heart melted and so began the start of something special.
No more than a month after we began dating I received a call for a governent job halfway across the country in Texas!!!!!! She and I were both crushed because we had really began to become really close and enjoyed where the relationship was headed but I had to leave in order to begin my career. After I moved to Texas and both of us taking our time and learning more about each other we became official boyfriend and girlfriend on June 25th 2010. The long distance of me being in Texas and Jenise still in Alabama was not really that bad over the course of the first year because it forced us to really learn the other person for who they really are because you are not blinded by the physical affection at times, but I would take trips every month or every other month to visit. We would have our fights and disagreements every now and then but nothing different that any other couple would go thru.
Our relationship took a LARGE hit in the summer of 2011 when her older Brother Justin was in a car accident and was killed by a drunk driver. It was a very trying time for our relationship especially it being long distance with her pain from losing him and I began to struggle within myself because I couldn't be there for her and it really took a toll on our relationship. We had our ups and downs and really almost ended up going our seperate ways but after time and continual prayer we began to improve slowly but surely and we took it day by day. At the beginning of this year 2012, I received confirmation that it was time to ask Jenise to be my wife and move her here to Texas and we could finally be together, but planning a proposal in Alabama would be a very tough task.
Jenise is so inquisitive and wants to be involved in everything so anything that looks suspicious she is going to ask questions, so my cousin and I devised a plan to make her believe she was helping my younger cousin propose to his longtime girlfriend. This way, anything that might have made her think I was about to propose to her was dismissed by her thinking the plan was for my yonger cousin. So to make a long story short, she helped plan her own marriage proposal and never had any idea.

Our experience today was FANTASTIC. We found the dress and the staff was very friendly and accomodating and helpful.

So tell me about your experience at Barrie Best for Bride.
When I walked in they were very welcoming and greeting and it is so beautiful and big store and able to go and take a look at all the dresses and styles and go and actually pick some out ourselves that we would like to try on instead of having consultant just pick ones for you. And very comfortable, very big, open spaces, able to look and try different things. And plenty of time, no pressure, a lot of time to take a look around, try on all different dresses that I wanted to. Everything was great and really wonderful.
And we FOUND THE DRESS.

I came to Best for Bride and I found my dress right away and then I met Katryna and she made all of my dreams come true. She is wonderful. I love you Katryna.
